This one literally took me about two minutes to read, but it had me laughing and smiling. It's a clever take on the origins of a certain mystical being much loved by elementary school children.

I can say that it is rare for me to rate a short story with five stars, but this one deserves it. The plot is well developed, the characters (three of them, it is a short after all) vivid and strange, and the parting shot at the end is fantastic.

A winner for adults and kids (I'd say middle-schoolers), though adults should read it first before passing it along.

I would not want to give the book away but it is a great short story with a new twist.
Short, very short, but it wouldn't be good if it was any longer. Startled the dog when I laughed right out loud. I will enjoy reading more by this author.
From the reviews I knew there was a surprise at the end, so I was looking for it, but I didn't see it coming and choked on my coffee when it came. Bravo, very funny quick read.
i read 1st page and found it boring..sorry but some books just do not get my attention not your fault but just not my thing
I've read some other stories by the author and this is nothing like those (it made me wonder if she had initially written this for a child in her life). It's pretty much a joke turned into a story, but it's short enough not to wear out its welcome with the reader.
As the title I've given this review suggests this story is short, fun and quirky. It is a very clever idea and made me giggle despite only being a few pages long. My only issue with the story was I had no sense as to what type of supernatural being the point-of-view character was. This isn't a big issue obviously, but I wasn't certain, I had to re-read the product summary to see if it was a creature I should be familiar with or not.
This is a good quick read that should make you smile.
A short kindle freebie, around 55 locations, it will take you no time to read, but it's still a cute enjoyable tale in which a rock fairy insults a mean-tempered witch. The curse she places on him results in a nice little spin on legend and fairytale. It's a fun, light read with a smart, unexpected turn at the end.
