When a Secret Kills A Novel Deadly Reunions Lynette Eason 9780800720094 Books
Lynette Eason has masterfully created a suspenseful 3-novel story built on a single event. It occurred on high school graduation night and was witnessed by Jillian, one of the graduates, but critically involved two others, Alexia and Serena, by potentially placing the lives of all three in danger. Others have sketched the plot so there's no need to repeat that here. But if you are looking for a clean, gripping and suspenseful story, this series fills the bill admirably. In the first book in the series, When the Smoke Clears (free at this time on Amazon), Alexia is the leading character, and in the second and third books, When a Heart Stops and When a Secret Kills, Serena and Jillian respectively are the protagonists. It's really one story, but each book is complete within its own framework, so the series doesn't have the feel of having been broken apart to produce more revenue. They do, however, need to be read in their proper sequence. Each book has a romantic thread, but the stories do not belong principally in the romance genre. Lynette Eason is a gifted writer, all of whose books I will definitely read.Tags : When a Secret Kills: A Novel (Deadly Reunions) [Lynette Eason] on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. When a Secret Kills A Novel Deadly Reunions Lynette Eason 9780800720094 Books Reviews
I just loved this mini series and although the author did a great job in trying to make sure the reader didn't guess the villian, I did figure it out. I am just a very intuitive person. I did not feel that she gave away who was responsible for so much, I just did an inventory of characters. Yes, the ten your was pretty grown up sounding, but it was the intent of the writer to make it believe that she would do some of the things she did. She sounded more like 16 to me. It was a very good series and I'm happy I purchased it, which I can't always say. I enjoyed the characters in this series and liked how they showed up in each of the books. I thought the pacing was good.
Lynette Eason has done it again! A super ending to a super series! I will definitely read the books again. All questions are answered in this very well-written fast-paced book. The suspense is riveting, the plot is believable, the romance is touching, and God plays a major role in the main characters' lives.
When a Secret Kills has everything I have come to expect from Ms. Eason. Seems like I just start her books, and in no time , they end. Alas! They are that hard- to- stop- reading. The only downside to the book (and it is a very small one) is Meg. I found her character irritating.
This third book of the Deadly Reunions Series is the icing on the cake.
Lynette Eason has written a well researched thriller that kept me anxiously reading to see what happened next.
It's the third in the series, but can stand alone. I enjoyed reading these books. Well thought out, all details covered, a real find.
And, as with the first two books, don't start reading them at night...unless you want to stay up late (like I did-but it was totally worth it!)
Having read the first two books in this series, I waited on bated breath for the third to come out! After waiting about 8 months for the book to be published, I actually watched the clock around midnight for it to be downloaded. I pre-ordered it and within 24 hrs of it going to my kindle I had finished reading it. Lynette is my favorite author! Each of her books immediately draws you into the story, and keeps you interested till the end. Some authors write a great first book in a series but subsequent books aren't as good. Not so with Lynette! I am amazed that she can write as many books as she does and each one is as good as the last. I give this book a 5 star and I heartily recommend her books to all my friends and family! It takes a truly good writer to keep a book thrilling without use of bad language and sex as fillers. Her books can easily appeal to all readers.
When a Secret Kills (Deadly Reunions Book #3 by Lynette Eason
This was as exciting as the first 2 books of this series.
I do not normally buy a complete series of books, because I have been disappointed after the 1st one. Some writers do not connect the characters or answer all the loose ends and that drives me nuts! But Lynette Easton really kept the original characters along with adding new ones that connected with the original crew. I just really enjoyed these books!!
This is the 3rd book of the trilogy Deadly Reunions. I tried to read it slowly trying to make it last. But that didn't go as planned. I could hardly put it down to do laundry and fix meals. The best mystery writer with a wholesome Christian basis. The plot that Lynettte puts together is very complex and breathtaking. The books 1 and 2 excellent also. I am a lifetime reader of Lynette Eason. I would be blessed to meet her. A must read.
My Rating 4 out of 5 stars
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions A perfect finish to this thrilling series. I was actually sad to see this series end. I really came to love these characters and this world. I will be waiting oh so impatiently for Eason's next novel.
I love Christian romantic suspense and read a lot of it. Eason is one of the best. She is one of the few authors whose books I would buy without reading the blurb.
Her characters are brilliant, her ability to craft a suspense that keeps you on your toes is practically unparalleled, and her writing is simply addicting.
Fans of Henderson and Hannon will not want to miss this final book in the Deadly Reunions series. This series truly is incredible.
This last book was not my favorite in the series, but it was well-written and was a deeply satisfying finish to the series. I loved watching the romance and the suspense build.
So why 4 stars? Like I said, it wasn't my favorite in the series, but it was incredibly written and I absolutely adored it.
In Summary Romantic suspense at its best.
Warnings/Side-notes None, safe for readers of all ages.
The Wrap-up Adore this series and really hope Eason writes something new really soon.
Love,
Danica Page
