What I've Done eBook Jen Naumann

What I've Done eBook Jen Naumann
What I've Done by Jen Naumann was an entertaining read. 17 year old Lily, the main character, went from having a beautiful childhood to a horrible teenage life. After her father dies, she loses her mother to sorrow and drugs and ends up being in charge of her little sister. She's had to grow up quite quickly and was put in spots to make BIG decisions that will either save them or put them in more danger. Not only does she have to worry about being separated from her sister if they are placed in foster homes, but someone is after them. She then finds two amazing guys that are there to "help" her, only they are not what they seem....
There is a paranormal twist that explains a lot about what has happened and I love that it came in later in the book, therw were quite a few surprising turns.
This was a great debut novel for the author.
Now, excuse me while I check out her other books...

What I've Done eBook Jen Naumann Reviews
I really liked the beginning of the novel, which, along with the 5 star reviews, made me buy it. The writing was a bit stilted, but it didn't bother me too much. It feels like someone who learned English rather than a native speaker because of certain errors and clinical feel of the text. However, for a self published novel, there are few real grammar mistakes.
Where the novel started to go downhill was once they were in San Diego after being put into foster care. Suddenly, everything is perfectly fine. Sure, they still have the money- which, SPOILER, she should have just given the guy instead of lying about it. This was absolutely bizarre considering that's the only reason she held onto it- but they are living in this amazing house with loving foster parents and the boys love her and promise to protect her... gag. That wasn't the book promised from the beginning.
This plotline that it becomes is tired. It's been done before and done a lot better. Two boys that inexplicably love her and she is completely drawn to them.
The heroine is, frankly, a little slow, and the fact that she isn't told what she is until her birthday just seems like an easy way to extend the novel. It's really obvious and it's annoying waiting for her to put things together.
ESPECIALLY since she constantly forgets things and asks the same question that was answered mere pages ago. Similarly, the timeline is confused. In some instances it's implied months have passed (the season changes) and then she says that this has all happened in days.
In Sum
It's Twilight with worse writing and a different paranormal phenomenon. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, and gave up reading 3 quarters of the way through.
An unusual tale with twist and turns of the supernatural that i didn't see coming! Enjoyable in that what i thought was going to happen, didn't!
I was a little skeptical about this book and ended up loving it. The detail in the characters is great. Looking forward to reading Jen's other books.
I sorry to say I read over half the book and could not finish it. The more you read the less it makes sense. It starts off ok even if everything is written mater of factly instead of really drawing me in emotionally which the story line had the potential to do. I really wanted to like it so kept reading. If your in an area were you know everyone is looking for you why would you stay? Go to work after school and waiting for the day to warm up? These things are small on their own but when you add all the others I just could not finish the book. Evidently I'm the only one.
This book was amazing. I couldn't put it down. My heart was in my throat the whole time, wonder what will happen next. I love Eli, but Gabe sounded pretty hot too. It's a battle of good vs evil you'll never forget. I can't say too much without giving away all the surprise. Just trust me this is a must read!!!
"What Ive Done" by Jen Naumann was by far the best book I have read in quite sometime, even better than the Hunger Games Trilogy! The story line was superb; is very comprehendable, and an easy read. I could not wait to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. I found myself trying to read with one eye open some nights while fighting to not fall asleep~~ I just COULDN'T put it down. From tragedies to love stories, this book got my emotions flowing! Definitely recommend this to all readers. Can't wait to read Naumann's next!
This was amazing book with new twist to paranormal genre. I really enjoyed the realist nature to the characters and events in this book.Jen crates a world of her own and bends it to our will. I highly recommend this book !!!!
P.s. Great Author and can't wait to read any new books from her !!!
